Train Show Safety Corner

The El Paso Train Show is a Kid friendly event.  Apart of making this event a success is the support of Freeport McMoRan.  We want this show to go on for many years. We ask that our visitors take a few precautions. 

1.       Wear closed toe shoes.

2.       Do not step on the top of the rail.

3.       No Running.

4.       Stay in the designated Train Show Area.

5.       Watch out for your parents and other kids!

6.       Please do not touch the model displays.

7.       If an event volunteer or Freeport Employee instructs you to do something please comply.

8.       Have Fun.

Meet author Christopher Lance Habermeyer of the book Gringo’s Curve. This is the story of the 1916 massacre of Americans near Santa Yasbel Mexico on the Mexican Northwestern.  The victims were miners employed by American Smelting and Refining Company.

Meet Gary Bonine, a retired Southern Pacific Locomotive Engineer with experience running steam locomotives.
